Power Washing in South River, NJ
Serving South River Borough | Family-Owned Business | Rated 5.0 on Google | Free Estimates
South River fits 16,118 people into 2.78 square miles, which makes it one of the most tightly built towns we work in. The front of a house here gets looked at every day. The two sides of it do not, and that is usually where the problem is.
Photograph the sides of the house, not the front. That is what we need to see.

On every side of the house we soft wash the siding and the roof, clear the gutters, wash the fence in the gap, power wash the walk, and handle decks, pavers, painting and shutters.
Angelo trains his crew to do every job the way he would, and he checks in on jobs as they run. Call or text (732) 718-6268, and you will hear back within the hour.

The Two Walls Nobody Looks At
Why the Sides of a House Here Fail First
A borough this dense is built long and narrow: houses set close to each other, with the depth of the lot running back from the street. That shape has a consequence people rarely connect. The front and back elevations get sun, wind, and a daily look. The two side walls get none of the three.
Growth needs damp and shelter, so those are exactly the conditions it wants. On most jobs here the side walls are two or three shades darker than the front by the time anybody calls, and they are the reason the house reads as tired from the street even when the front is fine.

What it means for the quote
Send photographs of the sides. Half the quotes we are asked for in dense boroughs come with a picture of the front door, which is the part of the house that needs us least. The side walls decide how long the job takes.
Getting to Them
Working the Gap Between Two Houses
Reaching a side wall in a gap that narrow is its own piece of work. There is no room to stand back from the surface, so it is done close, slowly, and from the ground wherever it can be.
Why a soft wash is the only sensible method in there
A soft wash cleans by the time the solution spends on the surface rather than by force, so it does not need the standoff distance a pressure wash does. That is the whole reason it works in a gap where you cannot get more than a few feet from the wall.

The other wall is your neighbor’s
In a gap this size, some of what goes on your wall reaches theirs, and their windows and whatever is planted along the line are right there too. Their glass and anything growing against it get wet down before we start and rinsed afterward, the same as yours. It is also worth your neighbor knowing the day, because for part of it we are working within arm’s reach of their property and sometimes standing on it.

The fence in the middle
Many of these gaps have a fence running down them, which means the wall, the fence, and the neighbor’s wall are all within a few feet of each other. Tell us if there is one, because it changes whether a ladder fits at all and whether the fence should be washed at the same time while we are in there.

Parking, Access, and the Day
Where the Truck Goes on a Street With No Driveways
A lot of houses here have no driveway, so the cars are on the street and the street is full. That is a scheduling question rather than a problem: an early start means the block is clearer, and an hour either way often decides whether the truck can get close enough to work from.
If your house has no off-street parking, say so when you book. It is the single most useful thing you can tell us about a South River job.

Concrete and Brick
Small Old Masonry, Judged by Its Joints
Hard surfaces here are small and old: a front walk, a set of steps, and a short strip of drive beside the house, most of it laid before anyone owned a pressure washer. On a walk of that age the mortar between the bricks is softer than the brick and the joints set the pressure, and on the oldest the brick face is softer than a modern brick too. Both get looked at before the machine comes off the truck, which is why we quote a borough walk from a photograph of the joints rather than of the whole path.

Why People Here Call Us
We do the sides
It sounds obvious and it is not. A wash quoted from a photograph of the front is a wash priced for the easy half of the house, and the difference shows up on the job day.

The owner stands behind every job
Angelo oversees the work and checks in on jobs as they run, and the crew does the final walk-through with you. If something is not right later, he will personally come out and make the necessary changes.

South River FAQ
South River Questions

There is barely a gap between my house and next door. Can you still get in there?
Usually, and it is worth measuring before you assume otherwise. What decides it is not the width so much as what is in it: a fence, a meter, an air conditioning unit, or a row of shrubs is what stops a ladder, not the gap itself. Send a photo down the side and we can tell you.
Do I need to move my car if it is on the street?
Only from directly in front of where we are working. We would rather you left it where it is and told us the block fills up by nine, because that we can plan around.
Do you need to tell my neighbor, or do I?
You, if you can. It is your house and your contractor, and the conversation goes better from you than from a stranger with a hose. All we need is for somebody to have had it before the day, so nobody is surprised to find us four feet from their kitchen window.
