Interior Painting in Freehold, NJ
Foyers and Stairwells | Walls Prepped Before Paint | Inside and Out | Free Estimates
If the walls are dotted with nail holes and scuffs, the two-story foyer has never been painted because nobody wants to get up there, or you have picked a new color for the living room and want it done right, you are on the right page. Inside the house, you look at a wall from three feet away, in daylight and lamplight, every day, and small flaws show through a fresh coat unless they are dealt with first.
Tell us which rooms, and send a photo of each.

Most people know us from the outside of their house. We paint inside too, and from mid-November to March interior work is what we do. Holes and dents are filled and sanded before painting, the edges are cut in clean, and tall foyer walls are part of the job.
Angelo trains his crew to do every job the way he would, and he checks in on jobs as they run. Call or text (732) 718-6268, or send photos of the rooms, and you will hear back within the hour. We paint interiors in Freehold, Manalapan, Marlboro, Colts Neck, Howell, and the towns around them.
What an Interior Paint Job Really Takes
Holes, Height, or a New Color
Inside, nobody asks whether the paint is holding on. What matters is how the wall looks up close, how high it goes, and how far the new color is from the old one.
01
Scuffed and patched: the repair-first repaint
Years of pictures, shelves, door handles, and furniture leave a wall full of small damage. Paint does not hide it; a fresh coat actually makes an unfilled hole easier to see. On these rooms the work that matters happens before the paint: the holes and dents are filled, then sanded flush with the wall.
Worth knowing: patching compound has to dry before it is sanded and painted, so the repairs are part of the schedule, not an afterthought.
02
Foyers and stairwells: the tall-wall job
The two-story foyer and the wall above the staircase are what people put off longest, because they cannot reach them. They are also the first walls a guest sees. Painting them takes ladders set up on the stairs, and patience to cut in cleanly at the top of a very tall wall.
03
A new color: the cut-line job
Inside, a color change is judged at the edges. The new wall color meets a white ceiling, white trim, and sometimes an accent wall, and every one of those lines is where the eye goes. The coats are planned so the old color does not ghost through, and the cutting in is what makes the room look finished.
Before You Call a Painter
“There are nail holes everywhere from our old pictures.”
Leave them for us. They are filled and sanded before painting.
“We have never painted the foyer because it is too high.”
Tall walls are part of what we do. The foyer can be done on its own or with the rest of the house.
“We just bought the house and want to paint before we move in.”
An empty house is the easiest time to paint. Put your move-in date on the form.
“The hallway and the kids’ rooms are scuffed up.”
Hallways and busy rooms take the most wear. Dents are repaired, and the walls are repainted.
“We want a new color but cannot decide.”
A second opinion is there if you want it. A color that looks right on a chip can look different on four walls, so it is worth talking through before any paint is bought.
Painting Indoors While It Is Cold Out in Freehold
Winter is interior season
From mid-November through March we paint inside. Exterior painting stops for the winter and starts again in the spring, so the calendar has room for interior work.

A closed-up house
In winter the windows stay shut and the family is home more. We plan the order of the rooms with you, so the ones you need most are back in use first.

What It Costs
How Interior Painting Is Priced
An interior quote is built room by room. What moves it:
Rooms and size. Square footage of wall, and how many rooms.
Wall height. Two-story foyers and stairwells take more setup than a standard room.
Wall condition. Lots of holes, dents, and old patches mean more prep.
Color changes. A new color over a very different old one can take more coverage.
Furnished or empty. An empty house is quicker to work in than a furnished one.
Why the rooms are walked first
Most of an interior price is prep, and prep only shows up close: patches from the last owner that were never sanded, dents behind doors, and the way afternoon light rakes across a hallway wall.
