We power wash driveways, walks, steps, patios, and brick, and re-sand paver joints that have washed out. Siding, roofs, and fences get a soft wash at under 100 PSI. Gutters, windows, decks, painting, and shutters round it out.

Angelo trains his crew to do every job the way he would, and he checks in on jobs as they run. Call or text (732) 718-6268, and you will hear back within the hour.

How Hazlet Was Built

The Parkway Turned Farmland Into Neighborhoods

Hazlet was farm country until the Garden State Parkway came through. The highway was finished across the southern part of the township in 1954, developers bought up farms, and single-family houses went up at a pace the township had never seen. Hazlet's population grew more than fivefold in the 1950s and kept climbing into the 1970s. Today the township is almost fully built out.

The town was formed in 1848 as Raritan Township, from part of Middletown, and took the name Hazlet in 1967. It had 20,125 residents at the 2020 census on about 5.6 square miles.

Hazlet's Homes

When Hazlet's Homes Were Built, and What They Need Now

Census estimates show about a third of Hazlet's homes were built in the 1950s, the biggest decade by far, and another four in ten in the 1960s and 1970s. About 85 percent are single-family houses.

When built Share of homes What these homes tend to need

The 1950s

About a third.

Original concrete walks and steps, faded siding, and gutters that fill every fall.

The 1960s and 1970s

About four in ten.

Driveways, back patios, and siding streaked with green on the shady side.

The 1980s and 1990s

About 15 percent.

Wood decks due for restaining, and vinyl fences.

Before 1950 or since 2000

About 14 percent, together.

Anything from older siding to a newer paver patio.

Power Washing in Hazlet

Power Washing for Hazlet's Patios, Walks, and Driveways

Hard surfaces are what power washing is for. The house, the roof, and the fence are a different job, done with a soft wash instead.

01

Patios that need re-sanding

On many paver patios, the problem is not dirt on top. It is empty joints, with the sand washed out and weeds or moss growing in. The fix is to power wash the pavers and the joints clean, then sweep in polymeric sand so the joints set firm. If the joints are fine and the color is good, a cleaning is all it needs. If the color has faded too, the full restoration adds two coats of low-gloss water-based sealer.

02

Walks and steps from the original build

Concrete that went down with the house has decades of grime worked into it. Power washing brings back the color and gets moss off the steps. It cleans the surface; it does not repair cracks or level heaved slabs.

Siding and Roofs

Soft Washing Hazlet Siding and Roofs

Most people call any house wash “power washing.” On siding, what we actually do is a soft wash. Vinyl, aluminum, and painted wood all get the same treatment: a cleaning solution applied at under 100 PSI, then a rinse. The solution is neutralized after use, and plants are rinsed down first. A soft wash usually holds up for two to three years.

Roof streaks

The dark streaks on asphalt shingles are algae. The soft wash clears them, and nobody walks on the roof.
